Welcome to Ian Minter Architects
from Principal, Ian Minter, ARB, RIBA

Thank you for visiting our site.  As Principal of Ian Minter Architects, I believe one of the most rewarding aspects of being an architect is working with clients to realise their vision whatever the project – a new house, extension, conversion of a listed building or creation of a new office or commercial space.

Ian Minter Architects is an architectural practice based in East Kent in the beautiful seaside town of Broadstairs.  As Principal, I am a trained architect, ARB registered and a chartered RIBA member with a wealth of experience working at senior level across a wide range of project types.

Formerly a partner at Lee Evans Partnership, a multi-disciplinary practice with offices in Canterbury & London which has featured regularly in the UK’s Top 100 architects, I left to fulfil a long term ambition of setting up my own practice.  I also hold qualifications in Project Management, CDM, and Fire Risk Assessment & Fire Safety Management which adds further value to the service my practice can offer its clients.

Good Design

With a passion for good design and a strong allegiance to Kent (a Kentish man born and bred and Chairman of the Broadstairs Conservation Area Advisory Group), I am committed to delivering projects that respect the region’s history as well as deliver its future aspirations.

The practice works on projects predominantly in East Kent – Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Maidstone, Medway, Shepway, Swale, and Thanet as well as with clients in Central London and the wider South East.

Your Project

Whatever your project, if you are looking for architectural services for planning applications, planning drawings, building regulations, plans for an extension, plans for a new home, plans for a loft conversion, or perhaps an office refurbishment or extension –  the practice can help.  Ian Minter Architects’ way of thinking always starts with ‘people first’ to ensure that the design fits the purpose.

The practice works closely with clients and believes that the success of any project relies on this collaboration.  The practice also believes in complete transparency of fees and ensuring that clients clearly understand what each part of the project involves.  Take a look at what clients have to say.

You can appoint the practice to provide Partial Services or choose to appoint us for the Full Architectural Service – whichever suits your needs and budget best.

Please feel free to contact us for a no-commitment initial visit to your site or building, and a discussion about your project and the level of service you are likely to need.
